About the Post
The University of Suffolk is offering an exciting opportunity to an excellent communicator and problem solver with a strong understanding of managing data sets and using a CRM system to deliver targeted communications and analyse their effectiveness.
You will be highly computer literate with a good knowledge of online communications tools and techniques. You will have experience of working in a busy marketing environment to deliver clear business results.
This maternity cover role will give you the opportunity to support UK and international student recruitment at the current Whatuni Student Choice University of the Year. In your role, you will:
- Be a champion for the CRM system and source of CRM expertise to guide, inform and influence colleagues on how they can gain maximum benefit from the system.
- Develop a deep understanding of the student recruitment journey and working with colleagues across the Marketing, Communications and International Directorate, develop CRM functionality, automation and communications plans to support recruitment and conversion activities.
- Build strong working relationships across the University and implement developments which make best use of CRM capabilities, and which drive wider efficiency and effectiveness.
- Undertake regular analysis and reporting on the performance of campaigns and enquirer journeys, using this to make recommendations and improvements.
- Support the Events team to set-up open days, applicant days and other events on the CRM, creating engaging touchpoints to encourage high booking and attendance numbers.
About the Team
- The CRM System Lead will be part of the small Digital Operations team which sits within the Directorate of Marketing, Communications and International.
- The Directorate is responsible for student recruitment, admissions, marketing, events, website, social media, external and internal communications.
- The team has a proactive social group which coordinates various activities through the year
- The team benefits from agile working, with on-campus time of around 60%, however, many people choose to be in the office more often to work collaboratively.
About You
You will be a solution-orientated and organised person with excellent communication skills who is able to set priorities and work to strict deadlines in a busy environment. You will have the ability to analyse and interpret complex data and to find creative solutions. In addition, you will have:
- Thorough understanding of the principles, terminology, procedures, and best practice of CRM marketing
- Experience of running creative email campaigns from idea to delivery and analysis
- Good written skills including proofreading and copy editing
- Knowledge of policies and procedures around Information Governance and Data Protection
- You will be highly proficient in the use of digital systems.
