Hours: Full time, 37 hours per week
Salary: £33,002-£36,636 per annum, Band 4
About the Post
This role focuses on analysing market data and trends to generate insights that shape the University’s brand, programme portfolio, and student recruitment strategies. You will use a combination of internal data, external research, and market intelligence to produce clear, evidence-based recommendations that support decision-making and campaign effectiveness.
Working closely with marketing, recruitment, CRM, and events teams, you will evaluate campaign performance, identify market opportunities, and support data-driven targeting to increase applications and enrolments across UK and international markets. The role also involves managing and interpreting enquiry and applicant data, contributing to CRM development, and conducting primary research to better understand student decision-making.

About You
You will be a graduate (or equivalent) with strong analytical skills and experience of interpreting data to generate meaningful insights. You will have a good understanding of market dynamics, with the ability to assess competitor activity and apply data to inform strategic decisions. Knowledge of GDPR and data handling best practice is essential.
You are an excellent communicator, confident in producing high-quality reports and presenting findings to a range of audiences. Highly organised and detail-oriented, you can manage your own workload, meet deadlines, and work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Advanced Excel and strong Microsoft Office skills are key.
Ideally, you will bring experience of conducting research, along with an understanding of the higher education sector and student recruitment and marketing.
You will be proactive in building professional relationships, enthusiastic about higher education, and flexible in your approach—willing to support events during evenings and weekends when required. A commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion is essential in all aspects of your work.
