Student Recruitment is an essential part of the University of Suffolk’s strategic plan, and a key team in delivering activity across the UK. The post reports to the Student Recruitment Manager and works across a number of departments at the University. The successful candidate will play a crucial part in attracting students through school and college engagement and raising brand awareness of the University as a whole.
About the Post
The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Account manage a group of schools and colleges, delivering a range of higher education talks and activities.
- Travel across the UK attending large scale events throughout the year.
- Develop and deliver a programme of targeted taster events on campus for schools and colleges.
- Ensure frequent communication with potential students to the University, through our CRM system.
- Work on our key recruitment events; such as Open Days and large-scale events on campus.
- Be adaptable, with the ability to engage appropriately with a range of audiences.
- Work with different stakeholders, both internal and external, such as teachers, academics, student ambassadors.

- Being passionate about Higher Education and being able to engage appropriately with children/ young adults is essential along with a strong appreciation for Safeguarding processes and practices and the ability to work within these at all times. Our Student Recruitment Officers must be professional role models and uphold the highest standards during their engagement with young people.
- Willingness to work unsocial hours and occasional weekends (time in lieu given) is essential.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
- The successful candidate must be able to achieve a suitable / acceptable enhanced DBS check (arranged by the employer) and hold a clean driving licence.
