About the Post

Join our creative, collaborative Educational Development and Learning Design team at the University of Suffolk as we reimagine technology-enabled teaching and learning.

About the Team

Our vision is simple: we’re passionate about student success. We work in partnership with staff to transform learning and teaching, empowering students to become engaged, independent, and employable. Joining our friendly, forward-thinking team means working in an agile, supportive environment that values curiosity, innovation and shared success where your ideas can help shape the University’s digital learning future.

Based in the Directorate of Education and Student Experience, our team works closely with academic and professional staff to design engaging, inclusive and sustainable digital learning experiences in Brightspace, our online learning environment. You’ll lead a cross-functional team with expertise in pedagogy, research, technology, systems and learning design. Your leadership contributes to innovative projects that enhance learning and digital transformation in education across the University and our partner institutions.

About You

We’re looking for an experienced educational development professional with a strong track record in digitally enabled pedagogy, learning design and the effective use of educational technologies. You’ll thrive in an evolving environment and be confident leading teams, managing projects and supporting colleagues to innovate in teaching, learning and assessment. You will also play a key role in supporting the integration of our learning management system (Brightspace) and Jisc digital attendance platforms with the University’s new Student Records System. You’ll bring excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a collaborative approach and the ability to balance strategic oversight with hands-on delivery. We’re looking for someone who is proactive, flexible and committed to enhancing the student experience through evidence-based, inclusive and innovative practice.
